Lincoln County Humane Society is seeking information related to an incident that occurred on Highway 406
MEDIA RELEASE – IMMEDIATE RELEASE
St. Catharines, ON (November 22, 2016) – the Lincoln County Humane Society is seeking information related to an incident that occurred on Highway 406, between Beaverdams Road and Highway 20, in Thorold, this morning just before 9:00.
A witness driving southbound on the 406 observed a cat thrown from a moving vehicle. The witness saw the cat exit the driver’s side window and it landed in the median of the highway. The witness then stopped and rendered assistance the cat. Shortly after, an LCHS officer arrived and immediately transported the cat to a St. Catharines veterinary clinic.
The cat, now named ‘Ellie’ is on pain medication and under veterinary care. A surgery for its wounds is scheduled for later today. Investigators with the LCHS are looking for the Nissan 4 door gray sedan (approximate 2010 model). Anyone with information is asked to call the Lincoln County Humane Society at 905-682-0767.
